Neutrik, designer and manufacturer of the “XX” series XLR cable connector, recently provided an assortment of its NP2X / NP2X-B series to the First Annual AES Regional Student Summit being held at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Neutrik’s NP2X/NP2X-B series is a heavy duty professional phone plug that improves on the design of the existing C series by offering the thinnest available A-gauge 1/4" plug with unique Neutrik chuck type strain relief on the market. The precise machined, one-piece tip contact without rivets avoids hook up in a socket or tip break off. The PX Series serves all applications, including guitars, audio cables, snakes, speakers, amplifiers and mixing desks. The Annual AES Student Summit is being modeled after the Annual AES Convention, but on a much smaller scale. It is designed for students, faculty and other members of the audio technology industry located in the Central Region of the United States, who may not be able to travel to the West- or East Coast for the Annual AES Convention. The Summit will include panels and tutorials on such topics as Internships and Entry Level Positions, the Future of Analog, Aesthetics, Studio Ownership, Did the Internet Kill the CD Star, Women in Audio, Sound Reinforcement, Signal Processing and Restoring Vintage Gear. “As a huge proponent of music education, Neutrik was happy to donate products to the First Annual AES Regional Student Summit,” stated Jim Cowan, President of Neutrik. “At Neutrik, we understand the value of working closely with audio technology students, as they are future industry engineers who will work closely with our products.
