KCRW retains its place (in my mind, anyway) as one of the coolest radio stations around with its new Guest DJ Project.
The program delves into the musical libraries of actors, authors, chefs, athletes, directors, tech entrepreneurs and others with insight into their lives and psyches.
Up now are Conan O’Brien, John Cusack, Saffron Burrows, Garth Jennings and Jason Reitman.
Future guests include Kelly Slater, Neil LaBute, Danny Devito, Stacy Peralta and more.
I’m most excited about Stacy Peralta (coming next month), and it will be interesting to find out what catches Danny Devito’s ear. (I saw him once, back when I booked the Viper Room, and he was awesome AND shorter than me!)
