Does anyone else remember that awesome show? I used to stay up late by myself (well, I was 13) just to get a glimpse of Duran Duran ("Rio,” anyone?). Unfortunately, all I really remember seeing is that damn Bonnie Tyler “Total Eclipse of the Heart” video. That vid was scary, what with those kids with the lights for eyes! Aiyee! Since writing this has brought back such fond memories, stay tuned til the end for those 80s classics.

But up first, here’s the real video for Weezer’s “Pork and Beans.” I’m not sure what to make of Rivers’ mustache.

Then there’s Coldplay’s “Violet Hill.” Though I confess I liked Chris Martin a bit more before he became Bono Jr., I have a hard time resisting the CP.

Has anyone seen this alternate version? Disturbing.

Then there’s Band of Horses’ “No One’s Gonna Love You.” Even though people keep calling them the next MMJ (I’d like for the current MMJ to fully arrive, thanks), I still like these boys (and I don’t hear it). This song takes me back to being a wistful teenager so what’s not to luv?

As promised here’s both Duran Duran’s “Rio” and Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”

Ya’ll have a pleasant holiday weekend. Be safe and stuff.
