The city of Dipolog is hosted San Diego's Liquid Blue for their 1st ever concert by a band outside of the Philippines.
In February, Liquid Blue will returned to the Philippines for the first time since 1997. The band performed a sold-out concert at 6000 seat Andres Bonifacio College in Dipolog City. Several songs from Supernova have received heavy airplay in Dipolog and the band did seven (7) radio interviews prior to the event. The city of Dipolog is hosted the event and presented a parade in the bands honor the day of the concert. Liquid Blue traveled in a motorcade from Dapitan City to Dipolog. This was a historic moment for the city of Dipolog (pop. 100,000), as this is the first time a band from outside the Philippines has performed there. The city was plastered with billboards and posters advertising the event. {mosimage} The band stayed at the Top Plaza Hotel from Feb 7th through the 12th and then at Dakak Resort from Feb 13th through 15th. Dakak Resort is one of the Philippines top holiday destinations and the place where the band stayed during their visit in 1997. The band also performed a show at Gloria de Dapitan in Dapitan City on Feb 14th. Web: www.liquid-blue.com
