John Rzeznik, singer, songwriter, and guitarist for the hit pop group the Goo Goo Dolls, will join Taylor's all-star lineup of artist performances at Taylor's NAMM showcase at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21. Rzeznik joins an illustrious roster of Taylor-strumming artists that includes The Voice's Javier Colon, worship leader Israel Houghton, rising act The David Mayfield Parade, and more, to perform hits from the band's extensive discography on the Taylor guitars stage, located in room 213ABC.
Best known for No. 1 and top-ten multi-format hit singles like "Name," "Slide," "Iris," Broadway," and many more, Rzeznik and the Goo Goo Dolls have sold more than 10 million albums, toured the globe several times over, and received numerous awards, including four Grammy® nominations. The band has recorded and released eight studio albums, a compilation, a live DVD, and Volume One of their Greatest Hits. Volume Two (a box set of rarities, B-sides, demos, videos and concert performances) was released in the summer of 2008. Rzeznik and the band have appeared and performed on nearly every influential late-night talk show over the course of their career, including 17 performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and nine performances on The Late Show with David Letterman to date.
Rzeznik has also been named recipient of the "Hal David Starlight Songwriter Award." Past recipients of the prestigious award include: Rob Thomas, Alicia Keys, John Mayer and John Legend.
