These three young lads took all the jokes from the MC about their virginity
in stride. I assume the song "Fuel" by Metallica was on a hard setting
because their fingers were flying! These guys got to open for Metallica!

SXSW DAY 2 QUINCY JONES, DEVO AND FILM LICENSING PANEL
Written by Mike Stahl

Quincy Jones helmed the keynote for SXSW this year and it was enlightening
and inspirational. More on his speech later.
The Licensing Music for Film panel was packed! There was a line outside the
room waiting to get in. This can be a very important revenue stream these
days especially for indies. As Film nd TV budgets get more constrained indie
artists will benefit.

DEVO held a press conference today to talk about their new music and how
they are performing more than they have in many years. They brought along
their trademark hats.
