The Bloody Lovelies formed in 1995 when Randy Wooten and Martin Criss met as freshmen at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. They were both interested in playing rock and roll like they grew up listening to--The Beatles, U2, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young. Randy and Martin didn't like what was going on on the radio, nor were they interested in the country music that surrounded them. They set to work first as an acoustic duo and then as a four piece band playing anywhere that would let them in. They eventually made a CD in 1997 entitled "Think Tank" which received great critical reviews and lots of airplay on college and local rock radio stations. They played countless gigs and toured throughout the southeast and mid-west.

The band fell apart temporarily in late '97 due to problems with their drummer and bassist. Randy and Martin worked on separate projects...until now.

The internet has taken to the Bloody Lovelies in a big way, causing them to reunite for good. Most recently, they scored a #1 on MP3.com with their groovy, gothic rocker, "Lonely". Their music can be heard anywhere--just request that your local radio station pick up one of their tunes from MP3.com and watch the magic begin. Okay, not magic, but with all the junk on the radio these days, these fellas are about as close as you're going to get--they love what they do, they're good at it, and it's fun to listen to.
