MP3 Song
Drown

THE SONG
A lot of metal is easily forgotten. Drown isn't one of those songs. Excellent production and vocals. A crunchy, agressive, fist in the air tune.

THE CD
Heavy and hard these ladies do not screw around. The songs get going quickly as there's no filler. The arrangements are well thought out and catchy. Some guys wish they could rock like this.

MIMIC: The ideology of life’s continuous imitation of life. The sarcastic notion that image and trends are recycled and reproduced infinitely until the idea of individuality is a lost concept.

Emerging from The United States, the female quartet MIMIC has proven they are not just another “fly by night band”. MIMIC has conquered much territory in the past few years and shows no signs of slowing down. Morphing aggression and energy with a melodic marketable edge, they create catchy original songs that have earned MIMIC an extensive and loyal fan base. Mimic’s heavy grooves and hauntingly melodic vocals touch the darkest parts of your soul and leave you fiending for more

MIMIC hit the scene running in 1999. Their versatile appeal has put them on the bill with bands ranging from Corrosion of Conformity, Nashville Pussy, Betty Blow Torch, Sic Speed, Primal Fear, Warrant and Slaughter to Crowbar, Hatebreed, E-Town Concrete, and Napalm Death.
MIMIC has appeared at The New Jersey Metal Meltdown 2001, The Milwaukee Metal Fest 2001, and NC Grindfest 2000, only to name a few. Since 2000 they have performed at almost 100 clubs and venues.

MIMIC is featured in various forms of media ranging from entertainment magazines such as Metal Maidens to on-line magazines such as Metal Rules, and is being played and interviewed on radio, college radio and Internet stations all over The United States, Germany, Australia and Sweden.

MIMIC released a self-titled 3-song demo in 2000. In the same year MIMIC unleashed a new monster, a seven song CD entitled, “You First”. They are currently working on the release of a second batch of equally intense songs due out by 2002.

With a successful future in check, MIMIC is destined to stay on top.
