MP3 Song
Anyway
THE SONG
A mid-tempo pop tune that is in the vein of Matchbox 20. A very solid and radio friendly song. There are 9 more just as good on this disc.
THE CD
Solid, poppy and slightly retro this disc delivers some fantastic good time tunes that are a nice change of pace.

The Band
Miggs, consisting of bassist Mark Baker, Jason Gianni on drums, Mike Muller on guitars, and Don Miggs on vocals, teamed up about a year ago to drive an emotionally charged, classic pop rock sound. The band is a mix of top-notch musicians who leave the focus on the melody, putting the energy and urgency into the music, while Miggs' lyrics resonate as listeners relate to the words.
Influences/Direction
Influenced by a range of artists such as U2, Elvis Costello and the Replacements, Miggs' music is distinguished by its timelessness and straightforward honesty. The central theme of their new record, Anyway, reflects the universal subject of the ebb and flow of all types of relationships, and how it affects our actions.
History
Discovering music before the early age of eight, Don Miggs eventually landed his first big break with his band, Aim Cryer, in his native New York. A development deal with BMG led the band to sign with Big Crunch Records. In 1996, they released Elusivity, which was produced by J.C. Convertino, who had worked with artists as diverse as Talking Heads, Miles Davis and Madonna. The album's direction, though penned mostly by Don Miggs, was not where he wanted to be. He decided to leave New York and head to San Francisco. Upon this turn of events, he met Gianni, a fellow East Coaster and accomplished session player, and Baker, who came from a funk/jam background, through mutual friends. It was just a matter of reconnecting with long-time friend Muller, who had produced some early stuff for the singer, to bring him to where he is today.
Today
Currently, the band has been enjoying a great deal of success from their personal web site, www.selfishmusic.com, as well as from several other sites over the last few months, including IUMA.com, where they have reached as high as number 32, loudenergy.com and starpolish.com. They have also recently entered the top 300 songs out of over 35,000 songs on garageband.com with their song "anyway". Furthermore, Miggs was selected as one of ten artists to appear on the IMX compilation CD and asked to appear at the conference in October from over 6,000 submitted entrees.
With Miggs, Don is able to produce his own powerful, lyrically driven record that he believes in, backed by the support of his band mates. The band simply aims to pursue career highlights by creating good music, edging towards that direction with Anyway.
