THE SONG
A song with an intense feel that is driving and engaging. Edgy and raw this song is a taste of the sound that makes these altar boys so interestng to listen to.

THE CD
These guys rock on this 6 song ep.A solid rock performance worthy of much recognition. Rock with a soul.

It’s been a year since Matt’s Altar released its first debut cd “Realism” on Joetown Records. Well produced and critically acclaimed, “Realism” went on to sell over 3,000 copies through word of mouth and extensive live shows. The video hit single “Self Destruction Man” aired on MTV and VH-1. Forward to the summer of 1999, Matt’s Altar releases their sophomore effort titled “Long Walks On The Sanity Highwire” also on Joetown Records. Having spent most of the year touring extensively up and down the East Coast sharing the stage with artists BECK, FRANK BLACK and ex-ROLLING STONE Mick Taylor to embark on a West Coast tour.

“…hard rock that possesses plenty of texture, the arrangements leave plenty of room for listeners to appreciate the talents of each band member, from the powerful vocals to the double-bass work of the drummer to the ripping guitar leads ….. an impressive mix of all that works about Matt’s Altar.”-The Musicians Exchange

“…Matt’s Altar is an easy band for radio to worship.”-Rockline & Modern Rock Live

Matt’s Altar has just returned from a mini-tour of Los Angeles which included stops at The Whiskey a go-go and The Roxy. The band will return to LA sometime in October or November of this year. Other future dates will include stops in Manhattan and Boston.
