THE SONG
A very dynamic song with a fantastic chorus. The vocals are smooth and the music is solid and warm. An excellent blend of emotion and solid musicianship.

THE CD
10 very likeable songs on this cd. The songs get to the point and have very real lyrics that you can relate to. The time put into the crafting of this album was well spent.

"Life After God? HMM...Are you a christian band? Are you guys devil worshippers?" The answer is NONE OF THE ABOVE. Life After God is an acoustic based pop band from Los Angeles.

"The name? Well, It's just a name", Explains guitarist, Mark Wladen. "We needed a name that suited our music as well as our individual personalities. Josh Martin (vocals) and I are pretty much on the opposite ends of the spectrum. He's a perfectionist and I am a bit more "laid back" in my approach to a lot of things. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I couls always use a little more perfection in my life.

Musically the combination seems to work well. Josh's unique vocals and amazing introspective lyrics weave their way through the honest, simple, acoustic guitar driven textures layered beneath. Their self-titled/self-produced cd was recorded over a period of 18 months. Why so long? "We wanted to do things right", explains Josh "and I think we did. We took the time to listen to all the mixes and make sure each one sounded great."

"We had a lot of help. We had some great people come in and play different instruments on some of the tracks. It was important to get the right people playing on this. If it meant waiting an extra week for someone's schedule to clear up, well then we waited"
