Richmond, VA has always been a breeding ground for talented musicians during the past few years. With artists such as Dave Matthews and Pat McGee flourishing, RIchmond has been dubbed a lunching pad for acoustic based bands. LEoN MilMORE is the next, hot band to emerge on the national music scene. Though the acoustic guitar bases the band's sound, guitarist, Troy Miller's classic guitar licks, and John Nolen's incredible vocal range add to the diversity of their music.

The members of LEoN MilMORE are all seasoned veterans in the music industry. They gained their experience by playing in bands such as On Edge and Chyna Gas. Their experiences have taught them the patience they need to play as a group, for they have learned that collaboration overrides individualism. Each member feels that it would be great to some day be famous "rock stars", but right now they just love to play. They do admit, however, that they feel selfish in that they love playing so much that sometimes they are writing simply for themselves.

Under A Green, the band's debut effort, has been in the national spotlight for several months. Green, the lead track on the disc, was featured on the CMJ Certain Damage National Compilation, and is receiving airplay on over 50 stations nationwide. The pop-rock songs heard on the album are laden with both acoustic and electric leads, funk bass lines, and driving drum beats. This helped the band land a licensing deal with MTV's "Road Rules". Songs from the album have been featured on the show on three different episodes for Road Rules VII.

In March of 1999, the band released their sophomore album entitled, Amphibian. The album immediately received the attention of several national compilation companies, and immediately hit college radio charts. Pop tunes such as Waiting and Buried have quickly become crowd favorites.

LEoN MilMORE as a little of this, a little of that, and a whole lot of everything else. Catch them soon at a room near you!
