MP3 Song
Something Good

THE SONG
Something Good is one of those songs that is so contagious you cannot shake it. The song has already enjoyed radio play and will undoubtedly receive more. This is a hit in every sense of the word. The hook will not let you go.

THE CD
Pure Talent is what this cd oozes. The songwriting is so solid you wonder why you haven't heard of this band before. This cd is all killer, no filler. There is no better way to spend $15, you jsut can't lose with this band, but don't stop there, see them live. At the Cotton Club in Atlanta, The Dan Hannon Band electrified the building with a stellar live performance. Amazing cd, amazing live performance, a combo you just can't beat.

Thanks to cheerleaders, piracy, riots and radio, the Mississippi born Dan Hannon Hannon Band (formerly King Konga) is exploiting an enviable epidemic of success. The radio hit Dancing Girls (an ode inspired by an autographed cheerleader poster), the catalogue of live recordings shared through the controversial Napster medium, and the smoldering aftermath of Woodstock '99 all proved to be doors of opportunity for a Dan Hannon renaissance. This musical and professional rebirth has spawned a 200+ show tour schedule in 2000 and 2001; a new full-length CD aptly entitled Something Good, a USO world tour, and their debut on the Hot AC Top 100 Chart. In 2002, DHB plans for more of the same-HUGE success.

While absorbing the evident onstage chemistry between members Steve Cook, Dan Hannon, Tony Lymon, and Skeeto Valdez, newer fans would do well to assume that the boys grew up together and were groomed to become DHB. On the contrary, these four troubadours never laid eyes on each other before the mid-90's and the mythical Skeeto Valdez didn't begin sharing the stage until 1998. After recording the Halo EP later that year and allowing their respective energies to congeal while barreling through their notoriously rigorous tour schedule, the boys were invited to perform at Woodstock '99. As if the Woodstock fires burned under them, the ensuing months and two years have been rich with independent record sales, co-bills with platinum artists, contagious radio support, and the irrepressible growth of their extensive fan-base.

The Halo EP, thanks to the radio-friendly single Dancing Girls, has sold over 15,000 copies and is a staple selection in many college dormitories, CD changers, and radio program lists. But it is DHB's newest endeavor Something Good that has fans, radio programmers, and music critics wide-eyed and sanguine that this breadth of ear tingling, aurally crystalline, and pure DHB song crafting will propel the band to a new zenith. Something Good is a scale-tipping collection of DHB Brand pop songs that will inspire fans and first-time listeners alike. One cannot help but be enamoured with the sensitivity of a true-life ballad like 100 Days or be riddled with roll-your-window-down-and-sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs excitement when Something Good ripstarts. The band successfully showcases every forte and the production prowess of newcomer Rick Beato is a tasteful and subtle craftsmanship that yields a DHB recording of almost insuperable quality.

Something Good, complete with 14 tracks, was released in early November and has already reached #81 on the R&R Hot AC Top 100 and has sold almost 10,000 copies-not bad for an unsigned band. Maybe unsigned, but not for long as DHB is steadily generating a "huge buzz" among every hungry industry type East and West of "Manufactured Music, Incorporated". The year 2002 now exclusively belongs to King DHB-a band that started off the year performing for Armed servicemen and women stationed abroad on a USO tour. They have journeyed home to find the title track from their new CD, Something Good, in the Top 100, exceedingly zealous fans turning out in record numbers for their performances, and the eminent prospect of "big things to come" tingling their humble hearts.
