THE SONG
A tale about a relationship gone bad. The dynamics and the pure power of these guys is amazing. The really neat thing about this song is the pure amount of activity at the songs climax. The ball is not only in the house it's in your face and it sounds great!
THE CD
Six guys with fantastic voices. There's 14 tracks of very solid vocal based tunes that involve some very memorable vocal bass lines. The recording is clean and the lyrics are real just as this group is REAL. These guys shouldn't have any problem carving out a path for themselves.

Ball in the House is Boston's original mouth band. Their goal is to bring a piece of Boston with them to the national music scene, and bring a new way to make music to the masses.
From the humble beginning of the experimental a cappella duo of Jon Ryan (vocal percussionist) and Jeff Manzolli (former member), BitH has gone through significant changes of personnel, style, and even name. The duo expanded to four members, adding Jason Downie and Mike Benard, and began to call themselves Ball in the House (for Brady Bunch members, an obvious reference to the episode in which Bobby broke a vase). Early performances were limited to coffee houses and other similarly small venues, but showed how their vocal music reached Boston audiences. People loved the energy and style of the band.
Over the next year, Ball in the House added two new members, bringing the total to six members. The group's larger size allowed the development of a vocal rhythm section, as founding member JonJ kicked in a complex percussive beatbox that dumbfounded audiences. The addition of Dave Guisti in early 1997 took the band towards a more urban pop-oriented sound. 1997 and 1998 were highlighted by performances at the Apollo Theater in New York, the SUNFEST in West Palm Beach (opening for Paula Cole) as well as winning the 1998 National Harmony Sweepstakes - New England Region.
Jeff Manzolli's decision to pursue theatre full time in late '97 allowed Ryan Behling to bring his talents to the group for a few months (he departed to play bass and front an instrumented Chicago band in September 1998). Scott Harris joined in March 1998, pushing BitH to continue writing their own songs.
With newest member, unreal first tenor Stephen McNulty, Ball in the House is a "mouth band" almost completely born and raised in Boston, and dedicated to bringing a piece of Boston to new audiences across the Northeast and the country. One review put it very succinctly - "Ball in the House has everything you would expect to find in a successful pop/rock band...the one thing it doesn't have is instruments" (Boston Globe, 5/98).
Ball in the House. Six Guys. Six Mouths. That's It. A mix of 80s old school beats and 90s pop without any instruments.
