6S

MP3 Song

THE SONG
Fun and poppy with a slight vintage feel.

THE CD
Crusader is another great song from the cd. Smooth and melodic rock 'n' roll music. All the songs are tight and just make you feel good.

6S is a band with a history of brotherhood, faith, and destiny. Growing up in a Boston suburb in their early teens, they started a cellar-trio and immediately began writing their own songs, playing benefit gigs and talent-shows through the end of high-school. Though the band gained much local notoriety, each began to feel they were going in different directions musically, and the band eventually had a woeful but necessary break-up.

For years, each took his own separate path, exploring and working on new projects. Mike was gigging the Boston club circuit in many different bands. Derek was recording a solo album. Worm was nearly signed to Sony records when his new band showcased against “SilverChair” for a record contract. However, as time wore on, all their musical endeavors slowed to a crawl.

But suddenly, there was a moment when a brand new idea for a band suddenly sprung forth: A band with fearless originality, explosive energy, surprising versatility, and unmistakable showmanship. It just so happens that in that moment, fate was such that all three were available and anxious to try it. The timing was so strangely perfect that everything that was once impossible now easily fell into place, with the only reasonable explanation being was that it just was meant to be. Against all odds, the band was miraculously reunited.

While recording their debut CD, the new band with the new angle was looking for a new name to call themselves. One night when the band was practicing in their rented rehearsal room, they were discussing potential band names. Upon shooting down every single name idea, they all noticed the number on the door of their rehearsal room. Worm said - “6S…..sounds like success”. AND SO 6S WAS BORN!

The band then only needed another guitarist to round out and enforce their sound. After many auditions, the band decided to recruit Donnie, formerly of the Boston-based band “Man Down”. With the lineup now complete as a quartet, 6S was now ready to take the rock scene by storm with a show, a sound, and an image that must be experienced!

6S is by far the best band around. They can go from the 60s to the present flawlessly. They are truly excellent.
