As you may have seen even the best bands have trouble selling tapes or cds at shows. Here are a few tips:

1. Set up a table with a picture or some artwork and with plenty of tapes or cds stacked around (plus any other merchandise) to attract the attention of the passer-by.

2. Have someone at that table constantly. Make sure this person doesn't have a problem talking to people and selling a little. Have them ask people "Would you like to buy a cd?" It may seem like selling...cause it is. Get the music in their hands. This gives you some dough and possibly a new fan.

3. Here's the sexist part. Have a girl sell your merchandise better yet, have two and have one of them go through the audience and ask people if they want to buy. Females just happen to be better salespeople in this area.
