Make it easier on you and on the DJ to get your song on the air. A song that sounds great with a long intro on the cd might work but on the radio time is limited. Songs that don't get to the point and stay there won't be played. Any song over 4:30 is too long and should be edited. Optimally it is best to keep the song under 4 minutes.
