Your web site is a very important part of your band's promotion. Don't loose the chance to let people know who you are by making them wait for the page to load. Keep graphics small and keep animations and java to a minimum. There are many free and shareware programs that you can try out to make the images on your site smaller.

Many Products you already have on your computer can help you to do this type of work such as Adobe Image Ready.
Make sure that your pages load in 30 seconds or less or you could just be losing the fans that stop by your site.
